WaitFit Privacy Policy

WaitFit™ is operated by Lira Learning LLC (“Lira Learning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the WaitFit browser extension or visit the WaitFit website at waitfit.ai.
WaitFit is designed with privacy in mind. The browser extension runs entirely on your device: it requires no account, makes no network requests of its own, and does not transmit your activity history or preferences to Lira Learning servers. You can verify this yourself — the extension’s service worker and pages make zero network requests, which is visible in your browser’s developer tools.
This Policy describes the current WaitFit browser extension and website. We will update this Privacy Policy before introducing a mobile application or other feature that materially changes how information is collected, stored, transmitted, or shared.
1. How the WaitFit Browser Extension Works
WaitFit helps turn short periods of waiting during computer use into opportunities for brief movement.
When Wait Detection is enabled, WaitFit recognizes certain interface signals on supported websites indicating that an AI tool is generating a response. WaitFit uses those signals to determine when to offer a movement break.
WaitFit also allows you to manually start movement breaks.
The browser extension is designed to access only the information needed to provide these functions.
2. Information WaitFit Processes
Wait Detection Information
On supported websites, WaitFit reads a small amount of page interface state so it can decide when to offer a break. Specifically:
- Button labels and attributes. WaitFit looks at visible buttons — their accessibility labels, titles, test identifiers, and text — to recognize the site’s own “Stop” control. That control’s presence is how WaitFit knows a response is being generated.
- Whether the message box is empty. WaitFit’s Space shortcut only acts when you are not typing a message. To know that, WaitFit checks whether the site’s message box is empty. This check reads the box’s current content solely to test for emptiness; the content itself is discarded immediately.
These reads are used for an immediate yes/no decision and are never stored, logged, or transmitted. Nothing from any page — including your prompts and the AI’s responses — is ever stored or sent anywhere by WaitFit.
Although browser permissions technically permit WaitFit to interact with webpage content on supported sites, WaitFit is designed to inspect only the interface signals described above, and it never injects anything into your conversation with the AI or modifies the page’s messages.
WaitFit recognizes which supported platform a movement break occurred on so that it can provide the feature and include the platform in your locally stored activity history.
WaitFit does not create or transmit a general history of the websites you visit.
WaitFit Settings and Preferences
WaitFit stores preferences you select, including settings related to:
- Wait Detection;
- active hours;
- movement break preferences;
- movement categories;
- exercise or movement selections;
- break duration and timing preferences;
- sound preferences; and
- other WaitFit configuration choices, such as the on-screen position of the WaitFit overlay.
These settings are stored locally through browser extension storage.
Activity Information
WaitFit locally records information used to display your movement activity and progress, such as:
- the date and time a movement break started, and the time zone in effect when it was recorded;
- the number of movement breaks taken;
- total movement time;
- whether a movement break was started automatically or manually;
- the supported platform associated with a break;
- movements performed and time spent on individual movements;
- daily and lifetime totals and your day streak; and
- housekeeping details such as the date WaitFit was installed.
This information is stored locally through your browser’s extension storage. The WaitFit browser extension does not transmit this activity history to Lira Learning servers.
3. Information WaitFit Does Not Collect Through the Extension
The WaitFit browser extension does not collect or transmit:
- your name;
- your email address;
- account passwords or authentication credentials;
- the text of your AI prompts;
- the text of AI responses;
- personal communications;
- payment or financial information;
- precise location;
- contacts;
- medical records;
- biometric information;
- a general browsing history; or
- information for advertising or behavioral profiling.
WaitFit does not sell browser-extension user data.
4. Browser Permissions
WaitFit requests only the permissions needed to provide WaitFit features:
Website access (supported AI sites). WaitFit requests access to the supported websites so that it can recognize the interface signals used for Wait Detection and display WaitFit movement features there — and nowhere else. This access is not used to collect the content of your conversations with AI tools.
Active tab and scripting. When you ask WaitFit to start on the page you are currently using — for example, on a supported tab that was already open before you installed WaitFit — WaitFit uses active-tab and scripting functionality to provide the WaitFit experience on that page, in response to your click. WaitFit does not use these permissions to monitor the websites you visit.
Storage. WaitFit uses browser extension storage to save your settings and locally maintain your WaitFit activity history, as described above.
Windows. WaitFit opens its small dedicated break window when you start a movement break from the toolbar popup.
5. Local Storage and Retention
WaitFit settings and activity history stored by the browser extension remain on your device until they are removed — by uninstalling WaitFit (your browser deletes an extension’s locally stored data when the extension is removed) or through your browser’s own extension-data controls.
Because this information is not transmitted to Lira Learning, we cannot see, retrieve, modify, or delete your locally stored WaitFit activity information for you.
6. Information Collected Through the WaitFit Website
When you visit waitfit.ai, the companies that host and operate the website infrastructure may automatically process limited technical information necessary to deliver and secure the website. This information may include:
- IP address;
- browser and device type;
- pages or resources requested;
- date and time of requests;
- basic server logs; and
- information used to detect technical problems or security threats.
If you contact us by email, submit a support request, or otherwise communicate directly with us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
Information that you voluntarily send to Lira Learning through the website or email is separate from the activity information stored locally by the WaitFit browser extension.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
The WaitFit browser extension does not contain advertising technology and does not use your browser-extension activity for targeted advertising.
We do not sell your personal information or use WaitFit browser-extension information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The WaitFit website may use technologies necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the website. Third-party content embedded in or linked from the website may be subject to the privacy practices of the applicable third party.
If we introduce materially different analytics, advertising, tracking, or similar technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide disclosures or choices required by applicable law or platform policies.
8. How We Use Information
Information processed by the WaitFit browser extension is used to provide WaitFit’s user-facing functions, including:
- detecting supported periods of waiting;
- presenting movement opportunities;
- providing requested movement breaks;
- remembering your settings;
- managing schedules and preferences; and
- displaying your activity and progress.
Information you send directly to Lira Learning may be used to:
- respond to questions or support requests;
- troubleshoot technical issues;
- receive and evaluate feedback;
- maintain the security of WaitFit;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- improve WaitFit.
We do not use browser-extension data for targeted advertising, data brokerage, credit decisions, insurance decisions, or unrelated profiling.
9. Sharing of Information
The browser extension does not transmit your locally stored WaitFit activity history or preferences to Lira Learning or third-party advertisers.
We may share information that you provide directly to Lira Learning with service providers that perform necessary functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, email, technical infrastructure, or support services. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services to us and subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- protect the rights, safety, or property of Lira Learning, WaitFit users, or others; or
- complete a corporate transaction as permitted by applicable law.
We do not sell personal information.
10. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure
WaitFit uses information obtained through browser permissions only to provide or improve WaitFit’s disclosed user-facing functionality.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
WaitFit does not transfer browser user data for personalized advertising, sell browser user data, or use browser user data for purposes unrelated to WaitFit’s disclosed functionality.
11. Microsoft Edge Add-ons
When WaitFit is installed through Microsoft Edge Add-ons, WaitFit uses information and permissions only as necessary to provide the disclosed WaitFit functionality.
WaitFit’s Edge extension does not collect or transmit AI prompt or response content and does not transmit locally stored WaitFit activity history to Lira Learning.
Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Edge Add-ons may independently process information related to extension installation, updates, performance, or store activity under Microsoft’s own policies. Those activities are controlled by Microsoft rather than Lira Learning.
12. Your Choices and Controls
You can control WaitFit through the settings provided in the extension. These controls allow you to:
- enable or disable Wait Detection;
- control when WaitFit is active;
- manually start movement breaks; and
- adjust movement, break, and sound preferences.
You may uninstall WaitFit at any time through your browser. Because locally stored extension activity is not transmitted to Lira Learning, uninstalling WaitFit — or using your browser’s extension-data controls — is the way to remove that information.
If you have provided personal information directly to Lira Learning, you may contact us regarding that information. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights concerning personal information held by us. We will honor applicable rights as required by law.
13. Security
WaitFit is designed to minimize the amount of information that needs to leave your device.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we process. However, no software, browser extension, storage system, website, or method of electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
14. Children
WaitFit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the WaitFit browser extension.
Users who have not reached the age of legal majority where they live should use WaitFit only with the permission and appropriate supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

15. Third-Party Websites and Services
WaitFit may operate alongside websites, AI tools, browsers, operating systems, app stores, or other products operated by third parties. Those companies control their own products and privacy practices.
References to or compatibility with a third-party product do not mean that the third party sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with WaitFit unless expressly stated otherwise.
16. Future Mobile Application and Integrations
A WaitFit mobile application is planned but is not covered by any data practices that have not yet been implemented.
Before launching a WaitFit mobile application or introducing features such as account synchronization, cloud storage, fitness-platform integrations, wearable integrations, health-data access, or other materially different data practices, we will update this Privacy Policy to explain what information is collected, how it is used, where it is stored, and whether it is shared.
Users will receive any additional disclosures or choices required by applicable law or applicable platform policies.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as WaitFit evolves, our practices change, or legal and platform requirements change.
If a change materially affects how the WaitFit browser extension handles user information, we will provide an appropriate disclosure before the changed practice begins when required.
The Effective Date at the top of this Policy identifies the version currently in effect.
